Roller Blinds Installation Guide
Installing roller blinds is a simple process that can be completed in just a few steps. Follow this guide to ensure a secure and neat installation.
Tools You’ll Need
Drill and appropriate drill bits
Screwdriver
Pencil for marking
Measuring tape
Level (optional, for accuracy)
Fixings (supplied with the blinds)
Decide the Mounting Type
Inside Recess (Recess Fit): The blind fits within the window frame for a clean and flush appearance.
Outside Recess (Exact Fit): The blind is mounted above and outside the window frame for full coverage.
Mark the Bracket Positions
Hold the brackets at the desired position (either inside or outside the recess).
Ensure the brackets are level using a level tool.
Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
Drill the Holes
Use the appropriate drill bit to make holes at the marked points.
If mounting into a hard surface like brick or concrete, use wall plugs to secure the screws.
Attach the Brackets
Align the brackets with the drilled holes.
Secure them firmly using screws.
Install the Roller Blind
Insert the roller blind into the brackets:
One side will have a pin that slots into the bracket.
The other side will have a control mechanism (chain or spring) that clicks into place.
Ensure the blind rolls freely and evenly.
Test the Blind
Pull the chain or operate the spring mechanism to check smooth movement.
Ensure the blind rolls up and down without sticking or misaligning.
Secure the Chain (Optional for Safety)
Attach a safety clip or chain tensioner (usually provided) to the wall to keep the chain taut and safe, especially in homes with children or pets.
Final Adjustments
Check the alignment of the blind and adjust if necessary.
Clean the area and enjoy your newly installed roller blind!
